Scott and I spent a weekend at Acker Rock Firelookout which sits atop a cliff face in the Umpqua National Forest. This summer has been a particularly bad forest fire season which resulted in a smoky weekend, but luckily the temperatures had subsided and we were able to enjoy the climbing in this area. Our friends Ali and Brad joined us and we all climbed a multi-pitch called Eagle's Dare, which begins below the lookout and climbs up to the top of the cliff. It was an absolutely amazing weekend! Can't recommend this place enough.
